Happy Flushing!

Well, our house is fixed. The City came out and inspected the street where we think the line was broken and by about 9:30 Sunday Morning they were there digging. The shut off the entire road and looked at everything. They discovered that when the gas company came to switch the furnace from oil to natural gas they clipped botho ours and the landlord's sewage lines. They fixed the landlord's, but because no one lived in our house they couldn't tell they had broken it. So, by 1:00 a man came and knocked on our door and asked us to run a "good amount" of water through the pipes. The scene that unfolded was like two childres on Christmas Morning. Justin and I ran thorugh the house turning on every faucet flushing the toilet and running water through the washer. Then we just stood at the drain downstairs to see if it would flood. At one point, the water raised, and I held my breath. But then it receeded!!!!! We told the guy that it all looked good and almost before we had the front door shut we were going to the bathroom and taking showers! It was hysterical, but it certainly put us in better moods!

So as Dad siad to me yesterday,

HAPPY FLUSHING!!!

Oh that will make your life so much nicer did the flooding cause a lot of problems and damage or was it restricted to one area?
